Save Ourselves Support Groups
Save Ourselves Support Groups offer professionally facilitated support and encouragement in a structured, secure and comfortable environment to all with a breast cancer diagnosis including members of diverse ethnic, lesbian and faith based communities. There is also a group for those with advanced disease. Discussions cover a wide variety of issues as determined by group participants including clinical information, concerns about treatments, empowerment to participate in one’s own health care, helpful hints about dealing with changes in quality of life and promotion of healing measures. The groups are led by experienced, professionally trained facilitators who are breast cancer survivors/thrivers. To find a group that fits your needs see groups offered below.
All support groups are on-going, meeting monthly at various days and times in convenient locations throughout the Sacramento Valley. Support groups are offered at no charge and patients can join at any time. Call the Save Ourselves Helpline at (800) 422-9747 or (916) 448-5432 to discuss your interest in a group and to make a connection to the facilitator. The Support Group Facilitators may be called directly.
SAVE OURSELVES BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUPS meet twice a month on Thursdays 10:00 am, 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm and Mondays at 7:00 pm. Locations vary. For more information and to register please call:

SAVE OURSELVES LESBIAN CANCER SUPPORT GROUP is led by Roxanne Hardenburgh. A breast cancer survivor herself, Roxanne brings excellent skills to her role as group facilitator. This group meets once a month on the 3rd Monday of the month from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm at 410 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento. For more information and to register please call:

FACING CANCER WITH FAITH is a Christian support group for those diagnosed with breast cancer. This group gathers together to face breast cancer through prayer and support from one another. The group is facilitated by Kristin Kozlowski a Licensed MFT and herself a breast cancer survivor.
