Educational Forums: "Hear the Experts"

Save Ourselves invites leading experts to participate in an ongoing series of educational forums entitled “Hear the Experts.” Guest speakers present the latest information on a wide variety of topics pertinent to the breast cancer community including current clinical management, integrative health approaches, and life-affirming strategies. Those affected by breast cancer are encouraged to join together for these sessions. These sessions are also known as Open Door Meetings that include both lecture and group discussion. Join us to connect with the experts and get to know the breast cancer community who are not merely surviving, but thriving!

Once a month we gather together at Nordstrom in Arden Fair Mall, share an optional potluck, and meet others in similar situations. Meetings begin at 6:30 PM, a social meet & greet time, followed by the speaker’s presentation with discussion from 7:00 to 8:30 PM usually every third Wednesday except December. While RSVPs aren’t necessary, they are appreciated.

DIRECTIONS: Once in the Arden Fair Mall parking lot, go around to the back of Nordstrom (by circling around behind Sears). Turn left into the Nordstrom parking garage and go to the top (3rd) level of the garage. Park near the footbridge that goes into the second floor of Nordstrom. Once in the store, (ladies restroom on your immediate left), walk to the far back wall, keeping to the left of the escalators, walking toward the Dresses Dept. Go through the double fire doors behind the cashier station. Our meeting room is on the right.

Reiki is a Japanese method for relaxation and stress reduction that invites the universal life force energy to stimulate one’s own natural healing process and invites feelings of deep peace, safety, and wellbeing for body, mind, and spirit.

Sound therapy with Himalayan bowls is based on the concept that all matter is made of and responds to frequencies of energy. Sound taps into the life force, reduces blood pressure and induces a meditative state, improving immunity and restoring cellular harmony.

Together, Reiki and sound unify as a powerful integrative approach with allopathic medicine’s treatment plan for managing side effects, increasing wellness, and promoting recovery.
